4 Wonderful Daughters

My daughters were so kind to their dad on Father's Day.

They had recently seen my favorite outdoor chair give out.  So they gave dad a new chair, a shirt,  along with a candy bar,and a wallet to replace the one I have used for the last 10+ years; and then of course it wouldn't be Father's Day without a new tie.

Thank you again my daughters, I love you all so very much.

Wrong border Janet!!!

Homeland security director Janet Napolitano is working hard to secure the border.  The problem is she is concerned with the wrong border, the border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Of course Arizona is in the news concerning the border.  I live in Arizona, so I am well aware of the issue.  All we ask is that our border could have all the attention borders are given in various Middle Eastern nations by the federal government.

I want to publicly thank all those that put this new page together for me.  I think it was mostly my wonderful wife, but maybe the girls also had their part in this.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

What good is the beer industry for our country?

When you weigh the benefits of some jobs and tax revenue versus the harm it causes, one would have a very difficult job in persuading an unbiased judge of why we should allow it within the borders of our nation.  Rather if anything, simply export it to your enemy nations.  (of course I speak in jest on that last thought)

How many homes have been broken because of beer?
How many wives and children have been abused by a beer drinking man?
How many children go without the basics of life because the parents have to drink their beer?
How many young people have been addicted to booze, because they started out with "just one beer"?
How many young people have committed fornication under its influence?

I could go on for awhile with these kind of questions, but answer just one for me.

What good does the beer industry do for our homes, our cities, our country?

And if you do respond with jobs, simply listen to what the Lord says.

Shame on those who drink beer.
Shame on those who sell beer.
Shane on those who distribute beer.

It is that time of year

Time to announce the 4th annual Independent Baptist Preacher's Mountain Bicycle Meeting. 

Yes once again the call goes out for all Baptist preachers to join in the desert southwest for some great mountain bicycle riding, preaching and fellowship.  We won't set up a race course like last year, that might have scared off too many of you.  Some come out to the western desert of Arizona with a message to preach and your bicycle to ride.  Leave an email address in the comment section and I will give you more details.

Three days and three nights

It is that time of the year again.  Many in the religious world are observing what they call "holy week".  They will hold services on what is called "Good Friday" in observance of the Lord's crucifixion.  This will be followed on Sunday morning with "sunrise services". 

Please note what the Lord said in Matthew 12:40,
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Well that doesn't fit too well into the Good Friday way of thinking.  No matter how you try to slice it, that is two nights, Friday and Saturday.

As far as the sunrise service, read what is written in John 20:1
"The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre."

So the resurrection took place before sunrise.

So if you really wanted to know the day he died and rose, study the scriptures.  You will find that the Lord Jesus died late on Wednesday afternoon, and rose after sunset Saturday.  After sunset is the start of the new day, so it still fits fine into being the first day of the week. 

One last thing, don't you think it to be strange that this "holiday" isn't on the same date each year?
But that is for another entry.

Just thought a little truth might be in order for those involved in "holy week".  It would seem strange to believe and practice a lie while trying to be holy.

Why don't most get it?

Our local paper interviewed folks to get their response to the newly passed law concerning the requirement of all citizens to purchase health insurance.  All but one were in favor of this. 

Now I don't view the public airwaves, and therefore am not served the daily dose of intellectual slop that most are feeding on.   Rather I feed on the scriptures, the King James Bible each day.  The Lord Jesus commands that man do so.
Matthew 4:4
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

So my view point will be different from most. 

But why do people think this is wonderful, that the government would require you to purchase something? Especially if it was something you don't want.

How about if they required you to purchase a new car every 5 years.  They might argue about it running more efficiently and therefore better for the environment, thus helping in their cause against global warming.  Would that also be acceptable to all you liberals that love government intervention into every part of society?

Again, I don't know what all of you are listening to, but I don't care at all for the fruit of it. 

But if you like this program, get ready, you will love what is coming soon.  This is just a warm up for what the one world government that will arise under the direction of the devil himself, with his man of sin at the controls. 

At that point, every part of your life will be dictated, including what you will worship.

What next?

I am sure most of you have lost your snow cover since the last entry.  If you have not, I offer my condolences. 

Well, we know see the fruit of the majority of the American people.  They elected those that cast their vote to force us to purchase something we may not be interested in or not be able to afford.  This new "health care reform" law that was signed into law shows a spiritual ignorance or denial of a great fact.

And here it is.
"The wages of sin is death."

No lives will be saved by this legislation.  Some lives may be prolonged.  But in the end all will die. "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

Man tries so hard to deny this fact.  Since most don't know where they will spend eternity, or what happens after death, they treat death has the worst thing that could happen to anyone.  And bad health just brings you closer to death.  So lets do whatever to keep everyone healthy.  So everyone must have health insurance.

If you have read any of the legislation, you know that this was much more than trying to provide insurance for those without.  It is the plan of government leaders to control more of the lives of its citizens.  So as I consider the newly passed law that tells me I must have acceptable health insurance or pay a monthly  $750 fine per person, half that for those under 18, starting in 2014.  I now consider what my options are.  For once this law goes into effect, I am a lawbreaker.  I am not interested in paying high premiums for lousy coverage.  That is what the option was before this law was put into effect.  Now the coverage will get worse, and the premiums higher.

Thank you congress.  I now truly live in the USSA.

All of the lower 48 states have some area of snow cover.  Is your location covered in snow?  There hasn't been even a hint of snow falling in our part of the desert this winter, for which we are thankful. 

Snow is nice to see at a distance.  Snow is nice to read about.  Snow is used in showing the condition of the soul that the Lord has saved.
